I've played with the Lytro and agree that it's a brilliant piece of kit. First thoughts when I saw the images were "Not something a pro could make a living with but would be great if they could port this tech to a phone"

Not sure what kind of expertise is required to make a phone-friendly lens, but I'm holding a glimmer of hope (despite not being an iPerson). Of course, they'll need the software to work on the phone as well.

If it happens and I hope it does it will be way after the iPhone 5 maybe 7 or 8. Lytro tech is so new that miniaturizing it to Apple design standards will take a while.
