One of the games I’m looking forward to the most this year is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Thankfully it seems that we’ll only need to wait until August to get our first real hands-on look at the title, as LucasArts recently announced that the demo will be coming next month.

What’s interesting about the demo is that they’ve decided to do things just a little differently than most demos. Rather than just sticking you in a level and abruptly ending it when you reach the end, they’re going to give you a little bit of a story. You will play through a reworked version of the Tie Fighter Construction Facility, and when you reach the end of the demo, you’ll be greeted with a special ending that won’t be found in the retail version of the game.

Sure, that’s not a huge deal, but I’m glad to see that LucasArts is taking that extra step with their demo. Look for the demo on both Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network sometime next month.
