Star Wars The Force Awakens trailer released in full

The first full trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been released to the public – not just a teaser, but a full, real-deal trailer this time. This trailer was released during a football game on ESPN during half-time – just about as strange a place as a Star Wars trailer has ever premiered. This release follows a release of the first (final) poster for the film. You'll want to see the Star Wars parody poster collection for starters – right after you watch the video, of course.

The full trailer is presented below, all 2-minutes and 35-seconds of it. Get ready to get blasted in the face with details. If you do not want to be spoiled, turn back now. This trailer is presented in full 1080p – make sure you switch the quality if it's not already there automatically.

This week Lucasfilm also announced that they'd be releasing a Star Wars Marathon Event leading up to the Star Wars: The Force Awakens release. People will be given the opportunity to see each of the six previously released Star Wars episodes in order. Each movie will be presented in digital 2D – no 3D for you!

Of course Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be shown, then, in full 3D. Participating theaters will be giving out marathon art lanyards as well. This marathon event will be coming on December 17th, 2015 – and tickets are on sale right this minute.

Tickets are also available for premieres without the marathon, for those of you that don't have the mental fortitude to sit through 14 hours of films without sinking into the seat forever – they'll have tickets available for JUST the new movie, too. These showings will be in standard box release size, 3D, and IMAX, too.
