Star Wars Anti-Cheese edits will change how you see the prequels

One film editor and Star Wars fan has taken it upon himself to edit all three of the Star Wars prequels to take out the cheese. Jeremy M West's edits change the voices of the aliens in the films, cut out the bits that do the film's plot lines no favors, and generally turn the films, even if you've seen them each several times, into works that are once again watchable. These edits take out what you, a battle-hardened Original Star Wars Trilogy fan, consider the cringe-worthy bits of The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith.

Before you go anywhere with these edits, have a peek at the "Phantom Cheese" cut – this short clip should serve to remind you of the reasons you might not be a giant fan of the Phantom Menace if you weren't a kid when you first saw it. These are all the bits that West edited, before he edited them.

What you're about to witness may change the way you view the Star Wars Prequel films. Edits as small as changing Jar Jar Binks' voice so he speaks Gungan rather than English, editing the tone of Queen Amidala's voice, and cutting out needless conjecture – all of this makes for a more engaging experience.

Above you'll see Star Wars: The Phantom Menace (Anti-Cheese Cut), and below you'll see Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (Anti-Cheese Cut).

Finally you'll see Revenge of the Sith (Anti-Cheese Cut). While this is the most "adult" of the prequel trilogy in the first place, even the (slightly) smaller amount of cuts make the film just a bit more mature-friendly.

These versions of the films are obviously not George Lucas approved, nor are they distributed with the full consent of Disney or Lucasfilm. In fact we'd be surprised if they remained on YouTube for long, so get your viewings in quick.

If you do not own any of the Star Wars prequels in one form or another (legally purchased, that is), we recommend you avert your eyes.
