I’m not sure I understand. The only reason anyone would want to go wit sprint is their one price unlimited everythingt plans. That in theory is great, but I have to wonder whether sprint is biting more than it can chew, offering these plans, offering more than its market cap for the iPhone and not yet having the infrstructure in place to deliver on the promise of those dataplans (at least in LTE).

Does anyone else thing this might make for a nice supplement to google’s recent purchase of Motorola?

Just a thought, if you go by your definition of common sense, <1% of people would own a car, home, or anything bought on credit, and pretty much every business would fail to ever begin.

I see your point, just saying credit is needed a lot, especially for a company trying to bounce back.

Agreed. I’ve been burned by T-Mobile and Sprint in attempts to saver a few bucks. Ironically I’m now with Verizon and pay much less, taxes included, than if I were to jump back to Sprint. Oh and I do have unlimited data.

never had problems with sprint here… not going to an iphone either. Personally I can do without the droves of iphone users jumping ship for an unlimited plan. I guess that’s why I have a google # now… which makes it easier for me to jump ship before it sinks.

Sprint needs to go the way Nokia and RIM currently are, quietly into oblivion. They were in financial distress before the iPhone investment. Common sense tells you don’t spend what you don’t have. What if it would have worked 500k-1m iPhone users or Galaxy S 2 users… their network would buckle. They should have updated the network first, then vied for new equipment.

Bad decision after bad decision is what will kill Sprint. WiMax was known at the time to have severe limitations…investing in that was not smart. Paying Apple more than twice their market cap for rights to their iPhone isn’t very smart either. I seriously doubt that most of the customers lost are due to the iPhone.

Sadly, the C-suite making all these bad decisions will be walking away with many millions of dollars once they are done running Sprint into the ground.

Had Sprint for 12 years, changed carriers last year and have iPhone, why would I want to come back? To save just a couple of dollars and instead have horrible customer service experiences. I think not. People vote with their dollars and I’m voting this company goes under.

That amount that Sprint is paying to Apple cannot be true, and if it is true, that is absurd. What were the iPhone sales numbers on Sprint? They are usually pretty quick to speak on how well a device launch was if it was successful, but I haven’t heard anything about the iPhone. Regardless $15.5 Billion cannot be worth it.

why not save those billions and pass on to the consumers – cheaper plans. who would fall for those iphones anyway – the screen is too small – using the internet or the maps is next to impossible. i have nothing against the iphone. i might consider iphones if its screen is over 4inch.
