Sprint EVO 4G ad outed; stock headed to stores [Video]

Sprint's first commercial for the HTC EVO 4G has emerged, and unsurprisingly they're focusing on the fact that it's the first 4G handset to reach the market.  "First isn't later, it's now" says the voiceover, promptly winning the prize for most obvious statement of the day.Video after the cut

"First is the beginning.

First kicks open the door and possibilities follow.

First resets everything.

First moves us forward, fast.

We all want first.

First isn't later, it's now.

What will you do first with EVO, the first 4G phone?

Only from Sprint, the Now Network."

Still, banal copy aside, it's a reasonably eye-catching ad that's reminiscent of some of the Rube Goldberg style machines we've seen popular in recent months.  Of course, given the relative availability of Sprint's WiMAX network in the US, what owners will "do first" might include hunting for a 4G signal.

Meanwhile the first EVO 4G retail units are apparently flocking into Sprint retail stores, ahead of the superphone's launch tomorrow.   The smartphone will be priced at $199.99 with a new, two-year agreement; more details – and our full opinion – in our HTC EVO 4G review.
