My celebratory thesis: it’s kinda cool that Daniel Ek & team decided to launch on Bastille Day.  Maybe it’s a coincidence, but I wonder…14 July is the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille prison: an event seen as a symbol of the uprising of the modern nation.

In a similar way, Spotify’s US launch will cause a reordering of the Apple-dominated music ecosystem in the US: an uprising, if you will, of the unprecedented ‘modern nation’ of Spotify-enabled personal enrichment. 

Hats off to Daniel Ek and team…welcome to America:-)! This is going to be fun.
