* NASA is at fault for changing THEIR software at the last second, basically jerking SpaceX around …* Then, even though the new crew was at ISS on Nov 14, NASA further jerks SpaceX around with another 3 month delay.. for what?Remember how NASA jerked SpaceX around for their previous launch, with months of delays to ‘certify’ their self-destruct capability…Big Govt NASA will do whatever it can to stall/delay SpaceX…keep SpaceX from making them look bad in comparison… and to preserve/assert their power… and try to maintain the Govt/NASA monopoly…. there are endless opportunities for delay to ‘certify’ this or ‘authorize’ that..Why does the organization which promised a $7 million per launch ‘cheap, safe, reliable’ shuttle yet delivered a $1.5 billion/launch affordability boondoggle, which killed 2 crews and had multiple year outages….. who wasted $20 billion on their failed/cancelled Constellation, The NASA staff who have NEVER produced a launch vehicle..why do these folks get to put their boot to SpaceX’s neck?

The crew has been at ISS since mid November… why 3 more months delay?
in a rational, efficient, reasonable world, SpaceX can launch the next day/week…

I watched the first men on the moon in 1969, dreamed of what more manned exploration, lunar colonies, Americans on mars, visits to asteriods, etc I would see in my lifetime..I have been watching NASA manned space delay, waste, inefficiency, bureaucratic red-tape , political pork… incompetence for 40 years, and it continues…

I want NASA out of it… I want to give private enterprise the chance to carry the torch of US manned space, without having the life sucked out of it by NASA BS.

Actually I do not think Spacex was “late” at delivering the final flight software as problems with implementation of some new software on the ISS required last minute changes to the Dragon software. Otherwise, I agree with your reply.

NASA is not completely at fault for SpaceX launch delay. The failed Proton launch this year delayed the launch of the Souyz that carried the crew trained to control SpaceX ‘s Dragon. SpaceX has been late at delivering their final flight software to get the. OK to launch. There is no bureaucratic ineffciency involved.

Agree with the other posters. This is an unmanned flight. I don’t think SpaceX is planning manned flights ’til 2015.

correction to the article: the capsule will have no ‘crew’ onboard, as this is an unmanned flight.

SpaceX was ready to go in November… Nasa stopped them, delayed…
NASA has constantly delayed, thrown roadblocks up…

I fear that SpaceX is being buried/choked in a mountain of NASA big govt useless red-tape, bureaucratic inefficiency.
