Soundfreaq Sound Step Recharge debuts

We have checked out some gear from Soundfreaq before. In fact, late last year Chris posted up a review of the Soundfreaq SFQ-01A iPod speaker system and he liked the thing pretty well. Soundfreaq is back with a new speaker dock for the iPhone and iPad that looks a lot like its old offering. The new offering is called the Soundfreaq Sound Step Recharge.

The new Sound Step is a wireless speaker dock with a compact design and a rechargeable battery for taking with you on the go. The dock is able to scream wireless music from your Bluetooth enabled device from 10 meters away. It supports tablets, smartphones, and notebooks and will work with any platform. The Sound Step is a 2.1 design with a dedicated subwoofer for improved bass. If you use an iPad or iPhone, the Sound Step Recharge has a docking port that will recharge your device even with some cases installed.

It also has a USB port that will allow you to charge any of your devices that have a USB cable. The battery inside the dock is good for six hours of playback. The Sound Step Recharge comes with a wireless remote control and can be controlled from your iPhone with a free app. The dock also has a composite video-out connection for watching videos on your TV. The device is available at HMV right now with a sales price of £149.99.
