There hasn’t been much news concerning Soulcalibur IV lately, but it will no doubt be one of the games I pick up this summer. Seriously, who could resist the opportunity to play as Yoda or Darth Vader? If only the characters weren’t exclusive to the Xbox 360 and PS3 respectively. At any rate, Namco Bandai has announced the official launch date for the title.

Soul Calibur IV

Mark your calenders for July 29th. Surely by the end of July you’ll be itching for a new fighter, and Soul Calibur never disappoints. The only question that remains is whether you will get to play as the green Jedi Master, or the Dark Lord of the Sith.

In addition to the regular version of the game, you’ll also have the chance to shell out $79.99 for the Premium Edition. This version will come in special metal packaging and include a tournament kit and “extra customization content.” I don’t know exactly what that means, but I must have it.
