Remember the other day when it was revealed that Soul Calibur IV would need a hard drive on the Xbox 360? Well those with a Core or Arcade unit can breathe a sigh of relief, as it doesn’t appear to be the case any longer.

Soul Calibur IV

Originally the Xbox.com page for the game specifically stated “Hard Drive Required”. However, if you browse that same page, the tab which contained those words has mysteriously disappeared.

I can’t imagine the number of sales that would have been lost due to such a requirement. Sure, it wouldn’t be a big deal if all 360 SKUs came with a hard drive, but there are likely a good deal of people that are still running without one. I can’t say I blame them either, those 120GB hard drives are expensive.
