I sold my PS3 when they sued George Hotz, and I have sold everything with a Sony nameplate in my household. However they continue to eMail me their "Terms of Service Updates". I called them and said that I wanted all of my information deleted and removed from their system and I never wanted to receive an eMail from them again.

They informed me that they have a right to keep my information on file forever and that they will continue sending me eMail for as long as they like.

Any ideas on which Attorney General I can send that to?

I for one have had enough of Sony's PSN woes. I own a PS3, but stopped using it months ago even prior to the PSN outage when their ToS crossed several lines. I definitely won't be signing this crap and so the PS3 is essentially dead for me. This saddens me deeply and truly. I WAS a fan. Now, I'll have to sell it off as it's just a big ol' paperweight.

...and lets not forget about those that may not have access to thier PSN accounts for more than the next 30 days. Say someone who serves in the US Armed Forces and gets staitoned somewhere outside interent isnt allowed? They just get banned for doing their duty? Or maybe someone who has had to obtain a property loan in this hard times and wont be able to re-obtain their property in 30 days. They get screwed because the economy seems to be plighted against the poor and lower-middle class.

I dont see how we can be forced into choosing within 30 days. This may be the only part of the new ToS that is not upholdable ..but only for ones wanting to agree but not haing the actual ability. All in all this is a sad move and I think clearly testifies to the fact things are worse than Sony has led on. They continue to be worse, so they have initated a method to protect against class action basis. Im gonna see what is talked about in some other areans before I agree, thats for sure.

So what did they discover that they realise this beter be in effect, to include pre-ToS circumstances. In other words, this is an agreement that gives away your rights to suit over PAST events as well.

It sounds like we are about to find out just how large and ongoing the breach in April is/was ...as well as CONTINUED compromisability due to in-secure PSN connection broadcasts. While there is no virus for the PS3 there are PLENTY of exploits. Im also betting they are starting to understand just how UNPROTECTED they have left the youth users of the console. First, we cannot limit communication to just those we approve of (BLOCK NON-FRIEND MESSAGING); nor can IN GAME CHAT be fully disabled. While Sony leaves us to beleive this is possible through sub-accounts; its only pertinent to XMB chatting. IN-GAME chat can still be heard just fine ...and some of the stuff said over those lines just isnt appropriate (sometimes for even this Marine-WTF?).Now unfortunately both of the above functions can ALSO be exploited to position re-directs in game data and such. Iv once been locked into arenas that had unlimited ammo ??? Tried even restarting and still same folk, same lame cheats. I serisuoly am beggining to think Sony has come up with their own lil OS but dont understand it at all, except for AV content and display. This seems more evident that they are giving their entire netowrk broadcasting department to an outsourced development company. I only hope this company understands basic safety, at least enough to patch some of these lame holes in the PSN enviroment ...I miss going into PS Home without being spammed/harrassed :(

Unfortnuately this is not how it works. The only option for someone in this category would be to send Sony a letter explaining in depth; that they DID NOT actually hit the submit button and someone else had malicously (i know, right?) accessed their machine without full permissions.

This is the stuff Sony is counting on for most folk, unfortunately.
