I’ve always thought that Sony’s VAIO notebooks always looked just a bit nicer than the competition. However, a lot of times you would have to pay a premium to enjoy that sleek design. Their latest offering has plenty to offer in the looks department, but won’t break the bank either.

Sony VAIO VGN-FZ220U/B

The Sony  VAIO VGN-FZ220U/B has a sleek magnesium alloy body that features a 15.4-inch XBRITE-ECO display. It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T5250, 2GB of RAM and has 200GB of storage space. Graphics are handled by Intel’s Graphics Media Accelerator X3100. You’ll have plenty of extras like a 1.3MP webcam, WiFI and card readers.

The new VAIO will be running Windows Vista Ultimate and will go on sale for $1,299 starting October 21st. Pre-orders are already being taken on Amazon.
