Sony UST Projector and Glass Sound Speaker hands-on

Sony's Life Space UX*2 (or Life Space UX2) is a name which many home entertainment and living devices reside. We got to know the last generation last year at IFA 2016 – now it's time to get delicate. In the Sony room we got to experience, the Sony Portable Ultra Short Throw Projector was in full swing bringing multiple layers of digital homemaking and entertainment at once. Also present was the Sony Glass Sound Speaker – another new reveal for Sony this quarter.

According to Sony, the Glass Sound Speaker is able to "fill every corner of your living space with warm LED and crystal clear sound made possible through its organic glass." We'll have to hear it outside of this environment to get a truly good feel for how powerful it is – but for now, we can say that it's very bright and very loud.

Sony employed their Ultra Short Throw Projector in multiple places throughout a room at IFA 2016 in Berlin.

We're seeing this device projecting video of a bird in trees on a ceiling for users to watch while laying down on the floor. We're seeing this projector send out visions of nature on a table near someone eating lunch – inches away.

This projector can create a fireplace in a home or create a home theater. We don't expect that many people will be picking up a whole armada of these projectors to create the experience we see here, but for those without budgetary restrictions, it doesn't seem like a half bad idea!
