Eye of Judgment is one of those games that just makes me scratch my head in wonder. The game is essentially a trading card game that you play against another opponent. The only difference from traditional TCGs is that you play against an opponent via a PlayStation Eye (see webcam).

PS Eye

I’m not sure I’m sold on this whole online TCG kick that so many companies seem to be on these days. I’m a long-time player of Magic: the Gathering, and I played the online version of the game when it came out years ago (and some of the recent versions since) and it just didn’t provide the same level of fun that I have sitting around a table with some friends, or even perfect strangers for that matter.

For those that, like me, don’t care for online card games but still have the desire to have a cam for their PS3, you’ll be happy to know that Sony will be releasing it separately from the Eye of Judgment title. It will retail for around $40, which saves you $30 on the game. However, if you’re thinking of just picking up the game for kicks, you might think twice as you’ll likely need to purchase additional cards to really have any fun..
