PS3Should you happen to be lucky enough to own Sony’s PlayStation 3, you’ll be happy to know two things. One, the PlayStation Network went live this weekend (oh joy), and two, they’ve since posted the first group of downloadable PSOne games for your gaming pleasure. Each game will run Japanese gamers 2000 yen (roughly $17 USD), which means they should cost around $20 when the system launches Stateside this Friday. While this list, to put it bluntly, is disappointing, hopefully the really good classic PSOne games will find their way to the service before long. Until then, here’s the list:

  • Arc the Lad
  • Biohazard: Director’s Cut Edition (Resident Evil: Director’s Cut as it’s known in the US)
  • Bishi Bashi Special
  • Jumping Flash!
  • Konami Antiques MSX Collection Vol. 1
  • Konami Antiques MSX Collection Vol. 2
  • Hot Shots Golf 2
  • Mr. Driller
  • Silent Bomber
  • Tekken 2

Again, the selection isn’t that great right now, but this should improve with time. Until then, one more round of Resident Evil can’t be all that bad, right?
