Sony Mobile Communications gets new president and CEO

Sony Mobile Communications has announced that it has named a new president and CEO of the company. The new president and CEO is Kunimasa Suzuki and the change takes effect May 16. The current president and CEO Bert Nordberg will be stepping down from his leadership role the company.

He's moving to a new position as thing chairman of the Sony Mobile Communications Board. Suzuki was previously the Corporate Executive Officer and Executive Vice President. Kunimasa (Kuni) Suzuki's new position will be responsible for overseeing the planning and design of all Sony products and services.

That position puts Suzuki in charge of Sony's entire product range from smartphones and tablets to PCs. Yoshihisa (Bob) Ishida will continue as deputy CEO with Kristian Tear continuing as Executive Vice President of sales and marketing.
