Those of you who are PS3 fanatics, do you get a bit jealous over the messaging capabilities of the Xbox 360? It’s hard for a die-hard fan to admit that they like something that the competition has, but no one can blame you for wanting to be able to easily chat with other players. It’s something that should have been on the PS3 from the start. Well if the above image (taken from the official PS3 website) is accurate, you’ll be chatting with your friends in no time.

Sony PS3 Messenger

The picture was up on the official PS3 site for a while, but was taken down sometime later. The text is pretty self-explanitory, you’re going to get voice chatting and video as well. If you can’t read the blown-up text, it goes something like this. “Talk to others during game play, say hello anytime you’re online, or have a video chat with an Eye camera; USB Camera or headset.”

I’m really curious how difficult it is for Sony to keep something like this under wraps. The whole Skype on the PSP feature was leaked a few days early (again on their own site), and now we’ve got this showing up. If you want to surprise people, I have a bit of advice. Keep it in your pants.
