This will work with music you have outside of iTunes. If it only worked with iTunes then there&#039;d be no reason to scan your computer for music - iTunes would already know what&#039;s in your library.

Not having to upload all your music is a huge benefit of Apple&#039;s system over Google &amp; Amazon. And still having the ability to upload other material (for example, rare music that&#039;s not part of the libraries of the companies Apple has signed up) means it duplicates the &quot;music locker&quot; idea of Amazon &amp; Google as well.

Apple has really slam-dunked this one.]]></description>
