If people thought 3d makes people sick then they better be prepared for VR sickness it used to cause people to get instantly dizzy and blow chunks. In any case I am all for VR videogames. Imagine the graphics of today in a put into a VR world, it would be simply amazing

Every gamer already uses VR. The problem is that people seem to think that VR only comes in the total immersion/HMD form factor. Today's tech is far beyond the original VR capabilities and considering the influence of console gaming within our society the Head-tracking HMD might be a step backwards as most gamers are all too familiar with motion/action controls via a control pad and immersion video can be obtained easily (see Vuzix headsets).

So, just like the VR hardware & hmd of yore, unless it's easy to acquire by regular people at a reasonable price AND is easy to setup and use AND doesn't put some unwieldy piece of hardware on your head & spine, Sony concepts of VR are just that... concepts. Ideas. Vaporware. Sony (and others) need to use the technology available now to get the masses hooked and then improve upon what works. Should VR tech be left to the past? No. It needs to be maintained and made more practical so that it's not relegated to only VR hobbist, freaky HMD units or gaming systems.

VR would be absolutely incredible with today's games and the technological revolutions and evolutions that have been made since VR was introduced. Further immersion in gaming is what every true gamer desires as theyre "pie-in-the-sky" dream. VR is the next logical step toward total immersion in my opinion, and there is no one better than those at Sony to bring these leaps and bounds in the way we think about gaming. I say yes!
