What’s wrong with you people? Don’t you think Sony Ericsson would do rigorous testing first before actually selling it on the mass market? The problems lies on the user themselves, not the product.

This is the most pathetic phone that I have used ever. It has been giving me problem since the time I bought it but 2 days back, it suddenly stopped working. It’s not getting switched ON now and I don’t know what to do. Will have to take it to the service center and suffer coz I chose to buy this phone…very bad phone, very slow and have to restart it regularly…

worst ever business phone from somebody and it saddens when it is from sony.slow processor,bad behaving of software,very very poor customer support with reference to this phone,frequent shutdowns if you download applications from marketplace.will never buy a phone from sony again.complete waste of money

Or else you’ve escaped… I’ve bought this and i’m suffering.. Windows OS sucks coupled with poor battery back up..Touch is ok..but overall this phone definetly deserve a big MISS….now they’ve stopped promoting ASPEN.. This info i got from SE Executive..

I bought a Sony Erricson Aspen last october and it has been replaced 3 times and everytime the new handset send to me has a new problem. I feel like throwing the phone in the dustbin. Its a complete waste of money.

You need to format your cell once and it will be all good. Advisable not to put any security codes

I bought this phone last week. My major problem with it is the volume! The ring is loud and people on the other end can hear me well. The problem is they sound so soft to me. I was told I probably got a faulty phone and was given another one, just the afternoon. Guess what? Same problem. I would not recommend this phone to anyone. It is too difficult to open the back of the phone to put in a SIM card etc and it totally destroyed my fingernails.

I bought aspen but when my friends are calling it appears to them as im out network, while my phone rings just one time… Does this phone has “block call” option? I am a Sony Ericsson Aspen owner and I love it. It is a really pro phone and it is by far the best phone I ever had.

Same happened to my mobile. My hubby bought it from Singapore and it is totally a bad decision to buy it. Once the charge is gone there is no way to recharge it and start the mobile. I took it to the service center who charged me TAKA 2000 (USD 30) although I had a international warranty card. So reinstalled everything and somehow made the phone ON. but again it is off and i cannot switch it ON. I will NOT recommend sony ericson to anybody at all. I was using Sony Ericsson from 2007. That time i was using P990i but not i am totally disappointed with the power problem of Aspen. The same is happening to one of my friend’s Satio.

I have a problem with this Phone. I secured my phone with a security code, but when I changed that code because my sister figured it out, the code didn’t work anymore. Whenever i try to enter the new code it just won’t work. I tried my old code as well, but that didn’t work either. So now i have a problem: I can’t acces my phone because none of the codes works. I can turn the phone on, but that’s all there is to it. I can’t text, call or being texted etc. What do i need to do? Plz help

I am getting the above message frequently in ASPEN, and then i have to restart the phone…can you help out wht can be the solution to it??

This is an excellent Phone.
PROS
+Excellent Battery back up.
+Touch screen experience is quite decent.
+Solid OS – It’s been a month now. Not even a single freeze or crash.
+Very nice to hold.
+Desktop & customizable Widget & slides are cool.
+Thread-view & 3D view SMSs works like charm. Just loving it.
+Call quality is excellent.
+GUI animations are excellent. (Panel SDK is available, you can do it on your own and install)
+Contacts browsing & display is cool.
+Phone lock – security code.
+GPS works cool.
+Cool display, (In small phones, even the least brightness would burn my eyes at night, but in Aspen, it really backens out the display, it’s best for Night time viewing on bed :))
+ Very light phone, at first before switching on, you would feel like if it’s really SONY? but once you switch on, you get convinced.
+ Editable Word, Excel , & other MS office s/w
+ Finally, It’s SONY!

CONS:
- No front CAM , So no Video Call
-No handwriting recog.
-Poor Camera, Camera s/w
-Average Audio quality for music. (Call quality is excellent)
-Lacks a Back button
-No LED Flash
-Smallish Display (but still fine for me)
-No interesting GAMES
-Adobe PDF viewer is of no use on this display size. I hate to read PDFs on any mobile though without -word wrap it’s just sick.
- DAMNIT NO POUCH GIVEN! :( lil disappointed after searching the box

That’s it. If you see the negatives, it’s all NON-business stuff where it does poor. So I really dont care.
I would give 8.5 / 10

There was a tough fight between Samsung Omnia 652 and Aspen. The touch screen of Aspen wont it all. Though Samsung’s Front CAM and Divx playing capability tried to impress me.

Aspen – A real good phone! Go for it.

Plz dont buy this mobile. i bought this phone on 21.12.2010 and it stopped working on 05.01.2011. i have not even used it for more than a week. Now wasting my time to fix the problem by visiting a service centre. I will never recommend anyone buying sony ericsson aspen (or even any Sony ericsson products, even my friends are facing problems with Sony ericsson products).

Click on the Slideview button(button below the one with which u pick the call), go in the Panels Option, Select that Panel which shows u the Time at the top and also the weather, Internet Explorer options.. In its top row, u will find a group of 4 icons and in that u will find the Flight mode..

Go to Start menu > Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications.

In the Event section, tap the drop down list & choose Messaging (or any other option)

Next, u can choose the tone of your choice.
