Sony DRX-810UL

Sony's new external DVD DRX-810 drive, almost identical to its predecessor, the Sony DRX800UL, comes with a silver design and mirrored panel on front which gives it a real touch. DRX comes with a plastic holder with which you will be able to position it flat or upright, without taking too much of your desk space. Also you can turn on its vibration feature, audible in upright position, which makes it cool.  You will be able to connect it to PC and notebook via USB or Fireware. DRX allows writing speed of 16x (21.6MB/s) for single layer DVD, 8x(10.8) for dual layer DVDs (8.5 GB), 6x (8.1MB/s) for DVD-RW, 48x  for CD-R and  32x for CD-RW, with help of bundled Nero package includes Nero Burning Rom, Vision Express and Showtime. If your PC has space, then it can be fixed inside, which is cheaper then its external version. It is priced between $121- $195. Disappointing thing is, it lacks support for Labelflash or Lightscribe label burning and DVD-Ram media of any description.
