Will Sony drop the price on the PS3? With the lower production costs, I don’t see why they wouldn’t. I’m sure that with a nice little price cut that people would be more eager to purchase one.

According to Sony president Ryoji Chubachi, the company “does not rule out the possibility of lowering the price.” The big question is whether he simply talking about cutting the price in the Japanese market?  It’s not like Sony hasn’t charged more for their console in one market than in another before.

I know that there are those of you out there that already own one, but for those of you that don’t, how much would Sony have to knock off of the price before you’d buy one?
