Sony cuts 60GB PS3 and announced 80GB model

PS3While many people expect this announcement to be made during E3, Sony announced today the 60GB Playstation 3 will be priced at $499. Aside from price cut, Sony also announced 80GB PS3 and priced at $600. The 80GB model comes with Motorstorm and will available in August this year.

Sony expects this price cut to attract more buyers on its PS3 console. With its 60GB model pricing quite close to Xbox 360 elite, Sony is really pushing its PS3 console and makes it a lot more attractive to buyers especially with the 5 free Blu-ray title offers.
