Sony concept AVCHD Exmor APS HD interchangeable-lens camcorder previewed [Video]

It's not just Sony's α-series NEX-5 and NEX-3 digital cameras that the company envisages having interchangeable lenses; they've also revealed a concept AVCHD HD camcorder which would use the same E Mount lenses (or the A Mount adapter for regular DSLR lenses from the company's range).  According to the Sony blog, the so-far unnamed camcorder will arrive in the fall 2010; however AV Watch caught some live shots of what's presumably a non-functional mock-up over in Japan.Video demo after the cut

AV Watch say that the Sony reps on-hand told them that neither size or design are finalised, and that the eventual product "could completely change" from what they're showing this week.  Still, we're also told it will use the same Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor as the two new cameras.

Beyond that, anything so useful as pricing or complete specifications is a mystery, and it seems Sony are looking to use the intervening period to gauge consumer interest and get feedback on what sort of functionality people might be willing to pay for.
