Supply and demand is obsolete, hmmm, just think how big the company would be still making the crank handles to start model “T”‘s. Are you retarded? Philips got out of CD making years ago, they had the world’s largest in Hanover Germany, it was the first and biggest, Sony ALWAYS FOLLOWS, what Philips does, they just do it later. Now all your digital discs can be Chinese swag, unlicensed, probably some defective materials….one thing is, we are sliding into 3rd world, ZERO mfg being done is baaaad.

The Government should propose a new subsidy to keep the CD in production and the Ad counsel could put out some new ad campaigns promoting the use of CD’s over digital content. The loss of these 300 jobs due to the archaic economic model of supply and demand is outrageous.
