Have a Sony kdl-46z5800 freesat intergrated TV set connected to a router via an ethernet cable, used to be able to get BBC iplayer on it by pressing red button and selecting from menu, this option has been removed. I now have to choose the freesat channel 901 which does not acknowledge the TV is connected to the internet, it states 'Your device is not connected. For more information, press red button, which takes me back to fitting an ethernet cable, where the TV knows the IP address settings already. The furthest I have got is after resetting the modem, the page then states 'To start, press red button' this then takes me to a 'Loading...' page and it just stays on that page. I know this should be straight forward but it's just not having it. Please advise me, if there's anything i can do to rectify this problem.

It's about time, there are so many fragmented services and 'boxes' all doing similar things in this space. It needs a single manufacturer to take the lead and add TV recording, internet TV and VOD/i-player services into a TV unit. http://www.compareyourtv.com
