Remember way back when Sony responded to the complaints about the lack of rumble in the PS3 controllers? Sony said that rumble was a last-generation feature and that SIXAXIS was the future. It appears that they couldn’t have been more wrong. Sure, we’ve known that the DualShock 3’s were on their way for some time, however, the future of the SIXAXIS wasn’t exactly clear until now.
You can officially toss the SIXAXIS controller onto the heap of technology products that just couldn’t cut it. That’s right, Sony has given it the axe.
Perhaps the SIXAXIS really is the future, just the very distant future. Maybe we’ll see it pop up again in the sixth or seventh generation of PlayStation consoles. I seriously doubt we’ll see Sony revisit this controller, in fact, expect them to be almost completely gone by the end of the summer.

The sixaxis is the ability to paly your playstation3 games like if you were playing the WII, for example you can drive by rotation ur controller, or fly the dragon or the plane in warhawk using only the sixaxis controls, just like for the Wii, or in resistance for example if an ennemy pops up in ur face you can just shake the controller to do a melee attack. stuff like that…
How to control the plane without the sixaxis ? I expect the next controlor DualShock 3 to have the SIXAXIS functionality plus the rumble !
The siaxis is awesome,after all it made quite a hit with nintendo’s WII,although I don’t know what is it called in it’s wiimote.Sony should make controlers with siaxis but not integrate it in the current controler but make a new model,a more comfortable one for playing by moving it.Mainly because with the current controller it would be really uncomfortable to play by moving it.
Oh and another thing-I have a question:The so called rumble is just vibration right?????????
