Just yesterday I brought you word that content recorded via PlayTV on your PS3 won’t feature any DRM or encryption. This will make your PS3 one of the best DVRs on the market, and easily the best home entertainment device. Here we are a day later, and Sony has given us some solid release info, at least for Europe.

The PlayTV add-on for the PS3 is set to launch in Europe on March 28, which is just over a month away. The expected price will be around $150 when it hits stores.
Unfortunately Sony was mum on the US release, so we’ll just have to sit tight for a while. If it’s as good as they make it sound, it’ll be well worth the wait.

Why exactly did Sony give you the price for a European product in $ instead of £Stg or €uro? And they’ve already announced that it won’t be getting a US release because Europe has a standardised digital service and the US doesn’t.
