11.1 inches diagonal and less than an inch thick. 2.65 pounds, and a battery life of 4-7.5 hours depending on usage. Think you have died and gone to ultra-portable heaven? Me too.

Sony Vaio TZ

Sure Sony’s VAIO TZ was already released across the water, but alas it is making its way to the states. With stats like an Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 processor and up to 2GB of RAM, what’s not to like? Well the price for one, on the low-end it starts at a mere $2200 and goes up to $3000, which grants you a clear coat so you can see the carbon fiber makings as well as an upgraded processor and a 32GB SSD drive instead of the standard 100GB HDD. laptop

As far as connectivity goes it really does have it all, wireless flavors of the entire alphabet A through N, Bluetooth, and even access to Sprint’s EV-DO Rev. A network. There is also an ExpressCard slot, SD and Memory Card readers, 2 USB ports, gigabit Ethernet, modem, and a 4-pin IEEE 1394 port.

Thin, light, long lasting battery, and a high level of functionality, I don’t think there is much more to ask for.
