It’s the legislation in the different countries that makes it all insane. The frequenzy band for LTE in one country might be used for something like hospital radios in another. Thus they use a different band for LTE.
That is why there’s a total of 36 bands in use for LTE all over the world.

Apple are being sued over 4G LTE technology and the iphone 5 will be banned from import in to the USA unless they release it without 4G LTE only which would be worse. Do some research instead of quoting memes and pretending to be intelligent. Samsung’s “Patent breeches” are very trivial it was only stuff to do with rounded edges or a photo bouncing back where as apple’s infringement is actually technology based.

Just wait, Samsung is publicly preparing to sue Apple over the iPhone 5. Samsung — the same company that claims they ‘Innovate, not litigate’, is now they’re preparing litigation over something which they don’t even know exactly what they’re litigating for (since the iPhone 5 isn’t public yet).

Note that Apple buys the LTE baseband chips from Qualcomm, who already licenses the Shamesung LTE patents from them. Saying Apple infringes on them is bunk, but exposes Shamesung to a countersuit of using patents from Apple’s Nortel and Freescale portfolios, the latter of which helped create LTE in the first place.

That, my friends, is who Samsung really is!

The quality of my Galaxy Nexus is just fine. Don’t confuse inexpensive materials for low quality materials. I’ve dropped it several times and there’s nothing wrong with it, whereas my fiance dropped her iPhone and now parts of the screen don’t recognize touch properly.

Read around a little bit. It’s very unlikely that the $1Bn verdict will stand. The jury didn’t follow directions in a lot of cases, so I wouldn’t count on that holding up. Furthermore, I’d be surprised if the patents that Samsung violated hold up either. The court AND the Jury ignored prior art in the case, AND they said they felt they were not supposed to determine the validity of patents during the trial, which again was explicitly mentioned to do in their instructions.

I’m curious to how this will pan out? I think we need a universal band for not only LTE but all band should stay around 6 frequencies if possible. Impossible to ban iPhones as they are the mark everyone is wishing and hoping to hit close to. Quality vs mass production is basically what it is. I hear android fans calling apple supporters sheep, but how can you say that when apple holds 18% of technological computer based products? Is androids like PC computers as everyone basically gets it for price? Now I know androids use linux based platform which is an excellent platform. Too bad the quality deptarment is lacking.

Snickers for yo dumbass….gotta love it…that aside, I don’t think Apple cares much if they get sued again. What good will it do to sue them again if Samsung keeps violating patents. The same goes for Apple, it’s countereproductive and only robs us of great phones….besides it’s not like Apple is going to stop selling or making iPhones just because Samsung says so, and even if the court says to do so, they can always dish out a new model that doesn’t break any patent law, unlike Samsung, which is why they lost about a billion or so dollars the last time they SUED them..so you tell me, Do you think it’s better for Samsung to sue them again? I already woke up….with a cup of Starbucks
