I went to the “Smoked by Windows Phone Challenge” in Houston Galleria, I was told to find directions to the closest 4* restaurant. Sales rep didn’t find directions he just found locations of closest restaurant, at the same time I found directions. When I showed it sales rep, he told me that I was trying to cheat and offered me redo, when I found closest restaurants faster then him he again told me again that I was cheating. I don’t understand how Microsoft wants to get back on the Market when they are clearly not follow rules. And how they want to compete with somebody who’s customer service trained way better then them.

Completely owned? 14 stores over the course of 5 day… 80 to 100 challenges a day…. Lets say 7000 people have participated and given the number of winners and ill even throw in the people who were “cheated”… Maybe 30. 6970 of 7000 were smoked by windows phone. This should show the real truth is that a majority of iPhone and android users have no idea how to use their phone because they aren’t tech nerds but represent a majority of both platforms customers.

It looks to me like Microsoft willingly waded into a fanboy trap and got completely owned. This shows how far Microsoft has fallen from the days when Bill Gates was around. Ballmer is a complete idiot and MS really needs to ditch him soon. A contest of this type was full of risk and should NEVER have been approved. I can’t wait to read about this all over again in the “Worst Marketing Blunders of 2012″ posts at the end of the year.

So, the contest had the same laughable bias as windows phone owners? You’ve met these types before? I respect peoples choices… Buy holy crap, It’s like every thing they say is a lie to themselves so they don’t feel like idiots for choosing one.

You could have a similar challenge with any Microsoft devotee and he will claim also claim wins despite all evidence.

I had a similar experience with the Microsoft Store in Atlanta, GA. After loosing twice in a row, the store started giving excuses. I have filed a complained and will also file a law suite against Microsoft if they do not followup.
