Smithsonian to display Steve Jobs patent collection in exhibit at National Mall

The Smithsonian Institution is getting an exhibit ready that will highlight some of the many patents and products that Steve Jobs is responsible for. The exhibition will be displayed on the National Mall in conjunction with the US Patent and Trademark Office. The exhibit is set to open on May 11 and is called "The Patents and Trademarks of Steve Jobs: Art and Technology that Changed the World."

According to Wayne Clough, Smithsonian Secretary, the exhibit will feature materials from the patent office and archival material held in Smithsonian collections. It will include an Apple Macintosh computer, mouse, and keyboard along with other Apple hardware. The other hardware will include an Apple NeXT monitor, keyboard and mouse, and iPod, and copies of documents.

The Steve Jobs exhibit will be the first in a series of exhibits the patent office plans to hold. We have heard that this patent exhibit would be held in the past, but we didn't know when the exhibit would kick off. The May 11 launch is only a few days away, do you plan to go see this exhibit?
