You have probably seen the little Smart cars zipping around your city. There are several of them around here and I think I have almost smashed into all of them parking because they are so small you can’t see them in parking spaces in crowded car lots. A cool app for the iPhone called Smart Drive surfaced at the 2011 New York Auto Show.
The app puts the functions of the car at their fingertips with the ability to listen to their media, use the iPhone, GPS maps, and assistance by pressing a button on the phone. The app is now on the App Store for a onetime charge of $9.99.
Also now available is the Smart Drive Kit that requires dealer installation. Once the kit is installed by the dealer the iPhone is integrated into the Smart Cars electrical system for charging and the iPhone sound output is integrated into the car stereo system. The system also adds Bluetooth hands free capability.
