SlingPlayer application soon to come to iPhone

Today at Macworld Sling Media has announced the SlingPlayer Mobile for the iPhone, an application. They also showed a prototype of the new SlingPlayer for Mac HD, which as the name states will allow you to use the Slingbox PRO HD to stream HD to their Mac desktop or laptop.

The New SlingPlayer for Mac HD is a web-based version of the SlingPlayer software that can be downloaded at Sling.com. With the services offered by SlingPlayer you can watch your favorite local sports team, video on demand, and pay per view programs anywhere you would like from your iPhone.

"SlingPlayer Mobile is ideally suited for the iPhone's large touch screen display and I know iPhone users are eagerly anticipating the application's availability," said Blake Krikorian, co-founder and CEO of Sling Media. Just watch any program you would normally watch from the sofa anytime anywhere from your iPhone. In addition this application you can control your home digital recorder (DVR) to record, pause, rewind and fast forward live TV shows without being home. The SlingPlayer for iPhone has been submitted to Apple for approval and are slotted for release upon approval sometime in the first quarter of 2009.
