Sleep Number x12 bed debuts at CES 2014 with sleep tracking tech

It seems like each time I turn on the TV Select comfort is airing a commercial about its Sleep Number beds. The Select Comfort Company is on hand at CES 2014 and has unveiled its latest bed that packs in some tech to help you sleep better. The bed is called the Sleep Number x12.

The bed has tech inside that helps users see how they slept and helps the user determine what changes they can make to achieve the best sleep the next night. The x12 bed is able to track and monitor each person's sleep. The X12 can also show what comfort and support adjustments each person has with their own Sleep Number.

The tech in the bed can also help the user make changes to their daily routine to help them sleep better at night. The x12 bed has three proprietary technologies including the DualAir tech for a comfortable sleep. The SleepIQ technology is new and the x12 is the first bed to have it.

SleepIQ is a touch free, non-intrusive technology developed in partnership with BAM Labs. It monitors the user while in bed including their average breathing rate, movement, and average heart rate. The tech then has an algorithm that takes that information and provides a SleepIQ score for each person in the bed, each night. The x12 bed will ship in February starting at $7999.99.
