I would have to say a tie between Claude Debussy the French composer. Or, in great contrast, Hayley Williams of Paramore. Debussy’s music is very emotional and sentimental and without words, still tells beautiful stories, whereas Hayley’s voice has been my inspiration for a while and pushes me to reach beyond my full potential. :)

Seriously, i’d give a kidney for this guitar, living in brazil, buying one is way out the possibilities….219 bucks would turn almost 600 with taxes. And considering that U$ 1 = R$ 2, that would cost a LOT. Thanks you guys anyways.

I’d have to say I really like Leo Kottke on guitar, as of recently. My favorite definitely changes based on mood, the weather, or for no reason whatsoever, so let’s say Kottke is my favorite this week.

If we are talking in terms of guitar, I would have to go with David Gilmour, though there are many on my list.

Brian May, Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani, Steve Howe, Yngwie Malmstein, Robert Johnson, Neil Schon, Jimmy Page, etc. They all have their unique talents and skills, but if I had to pick the one I like listening to the most, it would be Gilmour.

My favorite musician is Janis Joplin. She is a true inspiration to me as I am a musician as well. My favorite song by her is “Summertime”. She is an amazing song writer and I wish I could have seen her play live. A current musician that I love is Jenny Lewis from the band Rilo Kiley. Her music always touches me and she has such a beautiful voice. Please pick me so I can become a better musician! Thank you! =)

Definitely gonna say James Hetfield. Although he is their rhythm guitarist, he was responsible for the majority of their riffs and definitely knows how to put on a show.

I’ve been lusting over these since they came out. I’m going old, old school and say that my favorite musician is Andres Segovia, the late classical guitarist. As a high school kid growing in in the midwest, awash in .38 Special and Huey Lewis, his playing turned my thinking about music upside-down.

It’s a toss-up between Dave Grohl, Eric Clapton, and John Mayer.. but I have to go with Clapton. The man is absolutely one with his instrument, and I could practice my entire life and never come close to him — that’s natural talent and can’t be learned.

Speaking of learning, I’ve taught myself to play guitar to this point, though I’d love to take the next step by being able to use the YouRockGuitar with Rock Band 3′s deep tutorial and lesson system. Thanks for your consideration.

Probably a bit cliche, but I’ve always loved the music of Jimi Hendrix. He is my seed of choice for Pandora and although I doubt I could ever play one of his songs, I would like to learn the guitar instead of just playing fake guitar on my Xbox … and hey, I could do both with this! :-)
