My first portable walkman was a pansonic. The worse thing about it, was that it got stolen at school. Those head phones look very cool.

I had an original Sony Walkman. It got stolen shortly after I got it, so I then got a Panasonic Walkman-like clone that could record and had a built-in stereo microphone. I had it for 10 years – it was awesome!

My first portable audio player was a cassette walkman handed down to me from my sister. Very shortly after that I got a boombox that played cassettes and cds.

My first portable music system was actually a Boom Box 4 spkrs. AM/FM Cassette and about 120 watts. Then a couple of yrs. later the Walkman came out and within 6mos. after all of the competition came out and the price dropped. I got one it was the coolest thing at that time a stereo cassette player I could wear on my belt no more lugging around the big Boom Box and once the headphones were replaced with ones that clipped on to my ears, just run the wires up the back of my shirt, comb my long hair over them I could wear them in all of my classes. No one would know. It was great we could never have imagined that becoming the MP3 player with its microscopic size and storage capacity we enjoy so much today.
This is truly amazing.
