SlashGear Seagate FreeAgent Go HDD giveaway!

Whether you use it for backup, for shuttling your media between computers or for archiving old files you can't quite bring yourself to delete, an external hard drive is always handy. Seagate are celebrating their thirtieth anniversary this month, and they've given us a 640GB FreeAgent Go USB hard drive to give away to one SlashGear reader. Find out how to win after the cut.

To take part, we're looking for your earliest computer and tech memories. Seagate's very first product was a 5.25-inch hard drive in 1980, and with 5MB capacity after formatting you could keep a single MP3 on there (or at least you would've been able to if MP3s had been around in 1980). In contrast, the Seagate 640GB FreeAgent Go can hold thousands of MP3s and still have room to spare.

Head over to this SlashGear forum thread to tell us about your computer and tech memories, and we'll pick one at random to take away the FreeAgent Go HDD. Ten runners up will get Seagate t-shirts. Entries will be accepted until midnight EST on Thursday December 10th – good luck!

RulesCompetition is open to residents of the US over the age of 18. Family members of Seagate and SlashGear are not permitted to enter.
