I saw the fin on sale at http://www.hellohelio.net/ for $5. Crazy that they can offer it that low. I just got an Ocean and I am thinking about switching to the Fin, just because I think I want a smaller phone.

for your first question, yes, its not just a tap though, you have to hold the button for like a second, its mainly to save power

for the second question, the answer is no.

the time going away on the external display kind of bugged me too, so i asked and the guy told me how to make it come back up, he said its a power saving feature.

i dont know what kinds of other power saving features this thing has, but i charged it up last night at 9pm, and then took it off the charger before i went to sleep. so it was in standby all night, and then when i woke up i instantly grabbed it and started playing games, music, videos, making calls, the only thing i didnt use was the GPS and i still have yet to lose a single bar of battery power, so i have decided i am going to let it run, and use it like i normally would and see how long the battery lasts.

ok so i have to ask, one, does the external display show the time with just a touch of a side key? and two, can the media player play music while using other functions like the google maps or camera?
