SlashGear is now on SmartNews for super-fast reading

With more and more people reaching for their phone to get the latest news, we're excited to announce that you can now find a SlashGear channel in SmartNews. We've been big fans of the app for some time now: not only is it clean and east to read, it's fast too, something that's important when you're on the move. It's available for both iPhone and Android.

Why SmartNews? For a start it's cleverer than the average newsreader app. Behind the scenes there's a curation engine figuring out what you might want to read, based on your own reading habits as well as those stories trending locally and internationally.

Unlike other apps which make suggestions, however, SmartNews doesn't need your Facebook, Twitter, or other social network account to decide what you're interested in.

Adding the SlashGear channel is simple.

Once you've downloaded SmartNews from the link below – it's free for iOS and Android – just scroll to the right until you get to the search box. A quick "SlashGear" search will turn up our channel, and then tap on "Follow".

We'd love to hear what your experiences with the app are, so let us know how you get on!
