		<description><![CDATA[I can understand where you&#039;re coming from, John. The issue we face when running giveaways is trying to make them visible to as many people as possible, hence us trying the Facebook route this time. 

Yes, it&#039;s partly about raising our profile, but that&#039;s something every site - indeed, every magazine, TV show, book, brownie mix, etc. - is trying to do. If I were playing devil&#039;s advocate I might point out that by making SlashGear a bigger player in the tech blog industry, we&#039;re more likely to get kit like the Cr-48 donated and then give that away to readers. 

It&#039;s a dirty old industry, that&#039;s for sure, but no worse than most :)]]></description>
