Cross platform and for crying out loud, facebook uses it!

One of the many reasons why I will be picking up a Windows phone and getting windows 8.  Skype Integration.

Facetime?  Nice, but not everybody has an Apple device.  Google’s Video service?  Better, but not as mainstream.  Skype?  About everybody I know has a Skype account.

Add office integration and Skydrive integration, it gets even better.

Tried Skype for quite some time, but the call quality often degraded and connections frequently dropped. We spent more time manually adding callers back into conferences than actually discussing anything. Maybe it’s improved? Or maybe it’s just free.
