Sirius XM's "The YouTube 15" will showcase Internet stars

The Internet's most popular music stars are about to get an expanded audience, with YouTube revealing today that Sirius XM will be featuring its most popular artists on a new show called "The YouTube 15". This marks a first for the video service.

YouTube is home to many musicians, some who have gone on to achieve record deals and fame, others who enjoy a wide digital audience but aren't well known beyond the hallowed walls of the video streaming website.

In its new partnership with Sirius XM, it is the latter artists who will benefit. Radio listeners will benefit by getting to hear new music (curated to include what is both popular and trending) that might not be well-known in many circles — perhaps drawing them to YouTube for additional music listening all the while.

The YouTube show will launch on SiriusXM Hits 1 on July 11. Hosting the new show will be Jenna Marbles, who fittingly achieved her own fame on YouTube, who's various videos have earned her over 13 million subscribers.
