I thought people are getting sick of talking to machines. We have been talking to machines for ages on the phone to get things done. In fact some companies are stating that you get to talk to a real person to get more people to use their company. Talking to a machine drives you nuts: "to hear the menu again press 9, did you say accounts, connecting you with accounts".No! I said mounts. Hang up. Personally,I would rather interact with a real live person or press buttons to make sure I get what I want first time and not some stupid merry go round when siri can't work out what I mean. Even Woz said siri would get things wrong more than the Android version.

Nothing new as an individual app, but as an integrated part of the OS it would be new. And Android and WP7 (stock) do not currently offer the same experience through voice command/controls that Siri does. I'm not saying Siri is magical, all-knowing and the best in the world, just that right now, it does take the crown for stock voice actions.

Having said that, I understand that Android voice actions work very well and do some things better, but Siri is, overall, better, even though it does have some very weird, random shortcomings. The main thing Siri holds over the others is how it can determine what is meant during normal speech, without having to say it in a way that sounds like you are inputting arguments into a formula.

I would have to say Siri is on par of what Google and Microsoft (as well as others too) voice assistants/voice actions/controls. Flash and Bang? Yeah, Siri has that. And this is nothing new, there are already programs that can buy stuff on the fly (like flight tickets for example).
