From everything I’ve read, all official sources have said that it is 4S exclusive. I have never read anything from Apple saying that the 4 can’t run it. Just that it’s only available for the 4S.

well good news for everyone i myself i have cracked the whole siri thing im working on making the package via cydia give me maybe a day i will have it up and ready it will be free ive been working on this a while now it was quite easy actually just a few things slipped my mind so hahahah apple, this will work on iphone 3gs as well as 3g and of course iphone4 u do in fact need files from iphone 4s as well but everything will be in the package should be complete tomorrow their will be 3 different versions of this because iphone 3g 3gs and 4 have different folder names so just give me by tomorrow i will also being posting a video

You gotta love the Apple fanboys protecting Apples stance on this. Bottom line it’s wrong! Apple have been doing this for some time and Siri won’t make me get a 4S. I’m happy with my i4. I love Apple products but you don’t have to brown nose their tactics when it’s clearly proved it can run fine on i4.

your problem is you started with the evo. that gets bad battery life off the bat.

if you want proof i can take screens. today, medium use, off the charger for 6 hours and i’m at 90%.

And those battery stats you quote are absolutely ridiculous. Ive got a bloatware removed evo that is underclocked. 4g always off. An average android user who turns their phone on more then four times will have that kind of battery drop. I don’t see how anyone can take you seriously posting those kind of numbers. people with androids know how bad the batteries can be and what you posted sounds like you have a golden phone. No offense but ive only owned high end android phones. All have been rooted. I l know what im doing. But all my androids get terrible battery life. And ive done all the fixes. I expect alot from my phones because im an advanced user. Maybe thats the problem. Like i said, i tinker too much. I only got an iphone to stop myself from flashing every mod known to man. Battery life sucks on this too so far. Who knows. Im a heavy user. But the phone is beautiful and it flies without me having to root, remove bloatware, set cpu, etc. thats what im looking for. Ill own another android at some point, but they need to fix this fragmentation issue

android does just work.

i’ve had a vibrant since the day it came out, and have only had it lock up on me twice in over a year. in a light use day, i get home and i’m at 93% battery. heavy use day, i’m at about 60% when i put it on the charger before i go to sleep.

all the apps i’ve installed “just work”, i’ve had zero problems with this phone.

so… i’m not sure how you could say android doesnt “just work”. all you have to do is spend more than $50 when you buy the phone, and you’ll have something that will last years.

jailbreak snailbeak big deal that doesn’t mean it can run substancially for prolonged periods of time and what you really think apple can’t send a bullet and shoot down unauthorized users, it’s true you sound like a bunch of babies, you want a 4s buy it, jailbreaking is sooo 2007-2008, unless you are a serious hacker then whats the point? most of you just wanna dload free apps i still use my iphone 8g proudly and refused to buy another one until i saw a significant change in software, siri is this significant change so i will purchase an iphone 4s and if the next iphone has options i want then i’ll purchase it, but to sit and damage my iphone’s TOS because some guy with a hobby for tinkering on his computer in his mom’s basement who should be out making a start up tech company or getting laid posts a video about a hacked iphone/ipod and you guys act like it’s the second coming of JESUS CHRIST,it’s a dayum $800 phone nothing more nothing less, geez people get a life. and to those who claim apple fanboys this and that, APPLE is NOT a CHARITY it IS a BUSINESS and they aren’t putting a gun to your head forcing you to buy anything. i never hear these people complain about or try to jailbreak any other smartphone you know the samsungs, htc’s &, motorola’s, currently on the market and why? so apple must be doing something right. so my advice you like it buy it if not just BE QUIET already

What part of the phrase Beta Software do you fail to understand?

Siri is the first deployment of a massive client/server voice-recognition service. New languages are getting added on the front end; new databases are getting connected on the back end. At the same time, iCloud services were rolled out.

It would have been peachy — but hopelessly naive — to presume that these massive client/server deployments would have happened with no glitches.

What exactly is the lie you are talking about? Do you have any reference?

It would be neat if they eventually release Siri for other iOS devices. Apple has been pretty good about bringing new features to legacy devices through software updates if the hardware can support it. Siri is a beta and with the sales of millions of 4S’s and being dependent on a server, maybe they are holding off for now until they have enough server capacity? I like that they offer what used to be MobileMe as iCloud for free now and including new features.

I’m not sure if this is in reply to my post, but I can’t make out half of what you are saying. I’m interested to know what phone you typed that on, cause I definitely don’t want it. I thought my point was pretty clear, and I’m not obviously not an advocate for an iphone…since I’ve never owned one.. I don’t need anyone to agree with me, I was giving an opinion..but to tell me that android just works…well, not exactly..it completely depends on the phone you have and what version of android is running. And I include battery life in “just works.” Not sure how you could argue with anything I’m saying. I know android very well. I’ve exclusively owned android phones since their inception.

Just works? Look… I respect apple’s marketing-more than most. Yet, my Treo just worked as does my iPhone, as does my android device. If you mean YOU like on birthed other, great. But what us ‘right’ for you may nit be ‘right’ for me… why do people seem to need support or for everyone to agree with their choice-as if opinions should justify a personal choice?
