Siri was working perfectly fine on my 3GS when it was available from the developer as a beta product. I used it and like the conversational search it provided. My using it early on helped them develop a better engine…but do I get to play with it now? So yep, I’m a little miffed at Apple.

Apple did say it was a beta. What is Siris? That does not exist.
Of course it should work on all devices, but not because Apple bought it a couple of years back.

They listed it as an iPhone 4S only feature because at this time, it is. Anyone trying to get Siri for other devices should and see what Apple does, by an iPhone 4S or use Vlingo (search for it in the App Store, Siri like voice control for older devices).

Yeah Apple said it was a Beta version, I watched the Keynote when they introduced Siri, they said it was in Beta. And technicaly only the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPad 2 have enough power to comfortably run Siri flawlessly. On an everyday basis, the iPhone 3GS slow down with multitasked Apps and Siri and so will the original iPad (although not as much).

Whats the problem ? Really if you want honeycomb you also have to buy a tablet at the moment ? is that a feature or what? honeycomb will also run on any device even an iPhone if you prepare it for that. any ARM based platform, but if no one does the job for older devices then deal with it….. u think apple has enough money so they should stuff it in your mouth, because HTC doesn’t make any profits, id say you should increase the value of yourself by better studies or a better job instead of complaining about high tech prices. Complain about the pharma industry bc there its about lives but of course the saints make you pay dearly for it get a heart valve thats 100k buddy buying a 4s is peanuts

Lol another Apple fanboy crying to defend apple actions. Apple never said it was a beta version. Apple never said it will be available for other iPhone3GS or :-4 and Siris is listed as a feature for the iphone 4S (and future iDevices) otherwise Apple would have listed this as IOS5 feature, SiRiS was bought by Apple a couple of years back, technically it should work on all iDevices. Check the apple site idiot. Most important thing is Apple tried to tied this down to iPhone 4S otherwise you won’t have to hack it to make it work. If you don’t know shit then stfu. You sheep.

WHO CARES !!! Put it on the ipad2 and be done with it !!! It will NEVER be supported on the 3GS from Apple – EVER. After Siri is ‘stable’ and out of beta by the holidays, put it on the ipad2 and have another 25 MILLION USERS by Jan. 1. You think that won’t sell some more Apple products?
