SimCity Societies has decided to make an attempt to educate gamers about pollution. They have stated that they are in no way an educational game, they are just wanting to sneak in a bit of knowledge in with their game.

SimCity societies goes environmental

The idea is to create a city that will cause the least amount of damage. The more pollution the more your residents will suffer, they will even begin to grow ill. The game educates you about all the possible power sources and how each will affect your city.

I’ve never been a SimCity fan and I’m not sure if I’d rush out and purchase this game just because it has gone green. However, I can respect what they are trying to do. The game hit the stores this week and is being sold for $49.99.
