For a while now the cable industry and the CARD Standard have a multi-stream card that this device requires that allows you to use all 3 tuners with 1 card. similar to how your home DVR has two tuners but you only pay for 1 box. This is a great deal for anyone with a few computers in the house and an Xbox 360 (you can watch TV through the Xbox as a media extender).
