Sideshow's new Darth Vader doll is quarter-scale, up for pre-order

We've covered Darth Vader figurines in the past, but none quite as big as this one. The Darth Vader collectible from Sideshow Toys is a quarter-scale of the real thing, measuring in at more than two feet in height with all the trimmings of the real deal. This is a limited edition figurine, and it is decidedly more collectible than toy, with a launch date starting around this day next year and an availability time frame lasting a couple months.

This is a prominent figure that will stand out among other collectibles, measuring in at 26.5-inches in height with a weight of 25lbs. The design is styled after Darth Vader from Episode VI, and shows Vader walking down steps based on the Death Star base.

A red lightsaber with embedded lights is included, as well as a black cape and the other costume pieces needed to make him complete — Sideshow Toys promises all the details are there. This is one of the maker's Premium Format Figures.

The Darth Vader Limited Edition figurine is set to arrive in March 2016, and it will be available through May 2016 — the price sits at $499.99 USD, and is available with a payment plan totaling a little over $56/month. The figurine is up for pre-order now for those who are wanting to claim their piece.
